Sonali Wilson, CAIA, is the Lead Investment Director for Private Credit at Wellington Management, one of the world's leading independent asset managers. In this capacity, she leads the firm’s product and commercial strategy for private credit, overseeing the development, structuring and distribution of the firm’s strategies in this area.
Sonali brings nearly 20 years of experience in alternatives. Prior to joining Wellington, she was executive vice president of alternatives at PIMCO where she was responsible for driving sales across hedge funds and private markets, including private debt and opportunistic strategies across corporate credit, specialty finance and real estate. Her experience also includes investor relations and marketing roles with BlueMountain Capital Management and Och-Ziff Capital Management. She began her career at Goldman Sachs within their Investment Banking Division.
Sonali serves on the Investment Advisory Committee for the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation. She is a member of the board of trustees of Encouraging Women Across All Borders (EWAAB), an organization supporting college-aged women and non-binary individuals pursuing careers in STEM and finance. She is a founding board member of Women in Private Credit, where she co-leads the organization’s mentorship pillar. Sonali graduated magna cum laude from New York University’s Stern School of Business where she earned her bachelor’s degree with majors in finance and accounting and a minor in political science. She also holds a CAIA designation.
